Mariam Spices & Bakery was started by two passionate homemakers who believed that the right blend of spices could transform every meal into a feast. For over 30 years, making spices and masala powders has been more than a business—it’s a cherished tradition. Every pinch is made with care, as if preparing it for their own family.
We are inspired by a few experienced grannies, whose decades of homemade spice-making shaped our recipes. All our spices are 100% handmade, using fresh, natural, and high-quality ingredients, sourced directly from nature. The oils, herbs, and masalas we use are carefully chosen to bring out the authentic taste in every dish.
Our journey began with simple homemade spice blends, and soon our customers asked, “Why not share these traditional flavors with everyone?” Many shared how our masalas reminded them of the spices their grandparents used, bringing back nostalgic memories of home-cooked meals.
Inspired by this, we expanded our offerings to include rare and traditional Kerala ingredients, like exotic spices and heritage masala blends that are slowly disappearing from local markets. Today, we offer products that bring back flavors from the streets, markets, and kitchens of old Kerala, connecting this generation with the tastes of their childhood.
